iQOO launches Neo 7; get an overview of its price and other

After months of leaks and speculation, Vivo’s sub-brand iQoo finally launched the iQoo Neo 7 on October 20, 2022. Unlike its predecessor iQoo Neo 6 which used Snapdragon as its processor, the Neo 7, iQOO used a Dimensity processor.  Unlike its predecessor, the Neo 7, which used a Snapdragon processor, the Neo 7 used a Dimensity processor. While the Neo 7 is powered by the Dimensity 9000+, the Neo 6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. Apart from having a powerful processor, the iQOO Neo 7 uses an AMOLED display with a high refresh rate and supports fast charging.


Let us have a look at the main features of the device.

Display:

iQOO Neo 7 displays a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone also supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. The device comes with HDR 10+ certification, which supports a peak brightness of 1,500 nits.


Camera:

The iQoo Neo 7 comes with a triple camera setup in the rear. The primary camera is the Sony IMX766V, which has a resolution of 50 MP with wide angle lens, a focus of 1.88 aperture and a focal length of 24 mm. It has a sensor size of 1.56 " and a pixel size of 1 micrometre. 


Its secondary rear camera has a resolution of 8 MP and has an Ultra-Wide Angle for users to capture beautiful landscapes. It has a focal length of 16 mm with an f/2.2 aperture. It has a sensor size of 4.0 " and a 1.12 micrometre pixel size.


Additionally, it has a tertiary camera with a macro lens having a resolution of 2MP and an aperture of f/2.4. 


The rear camera will allow video shooting at 3840x2160 at 30 frames per second and 1920x1080 at 30 frames per second.


It has a single front camera with a 16 MP resolution and a Wide Angle lens for selfies. The phone also has an aperture of f/2.45 and 3.1" sensor size, and a pixel size of 1 micrometre. The front camera allow users to shoot video at a resolution of 1920x1080 at a speed of 30 frames per second.


Some of the camera features involve auto flash, auto focus, face detection, and touch to focus. Additionally, it provides optical image stabilisation and allows continuous shooting in High Dynamic Range mode (HDR) quality. It allows digital zoom up to 20 times.




Performance:

The iQOO Neo 7 is powered by an octa-core MediaTekDimensity 9000 Plus processor. It also supports LPDDR5 RAM of 8 GB to help its users with smooth and hassle-free multitasking. Additionally, it has a Mali-G710 MC10 graphic card to give users a fantastic gaming experience. 


Storage:

It provides an internal storage of 128 GB with a memory type of UFS 3.1. However, the memory is non-expandable. 

 

Battery: 

It has a non-removable Li-Polymer battery with a capacity of 5000 mAH for longer use of the phone. Simultaneously, it comes with fast charging support, featuring 120Watt support. The brand claims that 50% of the battery is charged in 9 minutes. However, the brand does not support wireless charging. 


Other specifications:

The iQOO Neo 7 runs on user interface of Vivo's OriginOS Ocean and supports Android 13 operating system.


Additionally, the phone has Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, USB OTG, USB Type-C, and Micro-USB connectivity options.


Additionally, the phone has a proximity sensor, in-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/magnetometer, and gyroscope. It also supports face unlock feature.


The device supports dual-SIM of with a nano SIM size, which has a dimension of 164.81 x 76.90 x 8.50mm (height x width x thickness) and has a weight of 197.00 grams. It is available in three colours: Geometric Black, Impression Blue, and Pop Orange colours.


The iQoo Neo 7 starts at CNY 2.699 which is around Rs 30, 765  and has 8GB RAM and internal storage of 128 GB.  However, its most expensive version is sold at CNY 3,299 which is around Rs 37,000 and has 12 GB RAM and internal storage of 512 GB.  The product is going to be available for sale in China from October 31, but there is no official confirmation about when it will be sold in India.
