The Samsung Galaxy M40 offers a number of industry firsts, including a vibrating earpiece and a hole-punch display. It includes a 6.3-inch full-HD+ PLS TFT LCD screen that is vivid and brilliant and has high viewing angles. However, there is a slight vignetting around the borders, which can be annoying. Although the body is thin and light, the plastic back is quite susceptible to scratches. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC powers it, which is ideal for gaming but, like the Redmi Note 7 Pro, causes the processor to heat up rapidly. While handy, the wide-angle camera's quality isn't very good. For objects and animals, the 5-megapixel depth sensor performs well, but not as well for people. The highest resolution for video recording is 4K, however, the quality is just fair and there is no stabilization. It's a good thing that the 3,500mAh battery can run all day on one charge.
